Plastisol Matte Additive
Plastisol matte additive is a fine-particle silica compound dispersed in a compatible plastisol carrier that, when blended into standard plastisol inks, reduces the specular gloss of the cured print surface to a low-sheen or flat matte finish. The micro-structured silica particles scatter surface light reflection without interfering with pigment color or cure adhesion. Addition rates from 5% to 15% provide adjustable gloss reduction from semi-matte to fully flat finishes.
Key Applications
- Creating matte or flat finish prints for premium fashion apparel
- Reducing unwanted gloss on large solid print areas
- Vintage and distressed aesthetic print finishes
- Blending to achieve custom gloss levels between matte and glossy
Frequently Bought Together
Plastisol Reducer
Plastisol reducer is a plasticizer-based additive that lowers the viscosity and body of plastisol inks to improve flow characteristics and facilitate printing through high mesh counts or fine detail screens.
Screen PrintingPlastisol Softener
Plastisol softener additive is a low-migration plasticizer blend designed to reduce the stiffness and Shore hardness of cured plastisol ink films, producing a significantly softer hand feel without compromising washfastness or print durability.
Screen PrintingPlastisol Cure Accelerator
Plastisol cure accelerator is a chemical catalyst additive that lowers the effective gelation and full-cure temperature of plastisol inks, enabling complete fusion at belt temperatures 15–25°C below the standard cure threshold.
