WB Discharge Ink
Water-based discharge ink contains a reducing agent activator — typically zinc formaldehyde sulfoxylate (ZFS) or the formaldehyde-free alternative sodium sulfoxylate — that chemically destroys the reactive dyes in the fabric itself, leaving the natural undyed fiber color visible within the printed area. The result is a zero-hand-feel, perfectly breathable print where the graphic becomes part of the fabric rather than sitting on top of it. Discharge printing is only effective on reactive-dyed 100% cotton or cotton-rich fabrics.
Key Applications
- Soft-hand premium printing on dark reactive-dyed cotton garments
- Fashion and retail brands requiring ultra-soft, no-hand-feel prints
- Vintage and worn-in print aesthetics on dark shirts
- High-end printing programs requiring the softest possible print feel
Frequently Bought Together
WB Standard Water-Based Ink
Our standard water-based screen printing ink uses an acrylic polymer emulsion binder with aqueous dispersion pigments, offering an environmentally responsible alternative to plastisol with zero PVC and reduced VOC emissions.
Screen PrintingWB High Opacity Ink
Water-based high opacity ink combines an elevated TiO2 pigment load with a thick acrylic binder matrix to achieve maximum light-blocking coverage on dark fabrics while retaining the environmental profile and softer hand of water-based systems.
Screen PrintingWB Anti Migration Base
Water-based anti-migration base is a specially formulated barrier underbase used as the first print layer on polyester and poly-cotton blend garments to block reactive dye sublimation from contaminating the water-based color layers printed above.
